Honestly, I’m saddened by the lack of creativity of these scams. They’re just the same shit with different ugly “art.” It’s like, didn’t you learn from the previous 234,464 scams that are literally the same?

And there was (failed) Dictator Donald, that Putin groveler proclaiming it was “genius” for how Putin came up with break-off-separatist-regions charade so he has a “reason” for rolling into Ukraine.

Claiming false ownership of another’s creative work is kind of a huge component of this scam, though, so this tracks.

My guess is that there’s enough of TWoW in draft form that once Martin dies if his executor and publisher think there’s a profit to be made from it they’ll be able to lash together something that’s more or less describable as “a novel”.

It should be worth noting that Wild Cards is a collaborative effort with a shit load of writers and Martin has only wrote a couple of the short stories. He is mostly just lead editor.  It’s the reason there are actually a huge number of Wild Cards books
