Copyright allows for the copyright holder to do whatever they want. Trademarking requires the holder to protect it. And yes, not protecting a trademark is grounds to lose that trademark. 

Trademark law is separate from copyright law.

However, you basically have the general idea about trademarks. It has to be constantly used or defended, or the owner will lose trademark protections.

100% this. Make it so inconvenient for them to go unvaccinated that they practically have no choice unless they never want to be able to go anywhere or do anything significant. Travel, theme parks, schools, employers, etc. Limit access to all of that, and these idiots will have to get their damn shots.
