I’m quite certain the guy has done exactly what he’s accused of doing, but his point is that it’s very easy to ruin someone’s life now without anything approaching due process. He probably deserves to have his career ruined, but he doesn’t seem confused about the 1st Amendment, or due process.
No. Everytime someone brings up the fact that yeah the Quran contains pretty violent passages, someone shows up to remind us-as if we’ve all forgotten- that the Bible is equally worse. First of all I don’t believe the Bible or the Torah is equally worse and second of all, nobody does the same thing when people are…
This reads similarly to Leviticus;
It is targeted towards immigrants, as an effort to establish a baseline level of humanist values, which are already extensively taught in Norwegian schools to kids. They even have grades on that in schools, AFAIK. I’m an immigrant myself here.
Nope. Not fucking weird at all! When universal human rights (womens rights) are involved, there’s no such thing as cultural relativism. “Not raping and killing women” isn’t comparable to, say, the hijab question (is it okay to ban it? Is it okay to enforce it?)

I got some Obama Kush the other day. It might be the chillest weed I’ve ever smoked.
You and I are the same. Let’s hang out, with some damp kush.
The stigma that still applies today in some areas of America that for a single girl to spend the night with someone is scandalous and inappropriate? People were still sleeping in seperate beds in the movies in the 40s — America wasn't exactly a bastion of sexual enlightenment.
BMI is accurate for the vast majority of the population, and it’s pretty easy to figure out if someone is an exception by looking at him, not to mention that the majority of incorrect classifications are in the direction of calling unhealthy people healthy. Even when you do include the outliers, it’s still a better…
would you take a look at his web site? It’s obvious he’s a “they.” But thanks for the condescending tolerance lesson.
Look. People who defend these virginity types act like it’s a neutral, thus totally respectable choice. But guys/women like this think the rest of us pro-sex people are sluts and used cars. So I have zero inclination to respect their choice. I respect their right to make it, but not the choice itself. Fuck’em.
I really don’t see much room for commentary on women’s success here, though, accidental or otherwise. It’s more about how social media and presenting an idealized image of our lives has become so all-consuming.
No, there are not ways for Airbnb to fix this. People can legally discriminate against others renting out their private property. The only way for airbnb to avoid this is to actually kick property owners off the website if it believes they are discriminating. Which is completely fine, but also kind of moots the point…
I don’t think that’s the concern, I think it’s more, the culture will change, there will be a transition period, and unit cohesion could be compromised during that transition. That doesn’t mean the change itself is a bad thing, just the adjustment might be initially difficult.
Some of the comments here surprise me - people are acting so pompous about their own choice to use proper grammar and punctuation in texts as if that makes them smarter, more thoughtful, or overall better than those that understand tone and nuance in writing as well as in speech.
I hate the whole healthy or good dynamic. I eat pretty healthy, but I eat really good and not boring food.

That’s no excuse for the article using the word migrant, repeatedly, as though that’s what he actually said, which he did not, in fact, say.
