I think Lori's death didn't work well because most of her suffering in the show was self-inflicted or made worse by stupid decisions, so her death felt less tragic and more like her comeuppance.
I don't think the unrelenting bleakness is an asset at this point, it's just tedious. It's just the one note all the time with no variation except for the occasional action scene. Even when the characters get a win they immediately go back to moping about something. They would be so much better off throwing in some…
How that should go if the characters made sense:
Hasn't been established that anyone who dies becomes a walker? I assumed that the Gov shot him in the chest and left him to turn.
@avclub-fcfcac2db1b067e67846e75a38bbfb65:disqus I saw it as deliberate audience abuse.
I got the impression that they were going to send Naevia to tell Spartacus what happened.
There are a whole bunch of people in NZ and Australia who will be pushing for a spinoff because they still want a job after this is over.
Tiberius being responsible for taking Agron and Crixus out of the show (both without any sort of satisfying fight) trumps all his other loathsome qualities.
"Why would Britta want there to be more pigs for the Biology class to dissect?"
Yup, totally against her character.
Skip it and just check in here to see if it gets better… it's not like you'll be missing important plot points. Wait for an A episode though, because that B is way too generous IMO.
The question is: which current field agent would you pick to do admin work back at ISIS HQ? I think Cyril wins that contest and therefore loses out as a field agent.
They'll have to demote Cyril just so Cheryl has someone to banter with at ISIS HQ.
Malcolm is setting up a post-merge voting block: Reynold and him, with Eddie as the disposable third.
He was intentionally forgetting her name, just like he was intentionally misspelling Francesca's. THE SPECIALIST!
It's nice to get some inside confirmation that Julia's dullness was not the editors' fault. Now I can forget she existed without regret.
This. Just do what the crazy man says and don't make eye contact.
I see a Malcolm-Reynold-Eddie dudebro alliance coming.
I'm going with option b.
Just letting other characters be the centre of the story for awhile would be enough. We've pretty much had Rick's POV and Andrea's POV dominating this season… even when Rick was off being nuts he was still the focal point of those episodes. Privileging other characters once in awhile (like they did in s2 with…
