I don't know the first thing about Miami Medical or Brando Eaton, but I do know that you cannot get shocked by a defibrillator unless you're actually in need of defibrillation. The machine determines your heart rhythm and will only emit a shock if your heart is need of a restart.

@Almane: I just got into comics recently and this series is the first I've read. I also loved Heartbreak Soup, by Gilbert Hernandez. I definitely thought it would have made Jezebel's list too!
