Southland Tales has an abundance of those: the Zeppelin tracking shot, the "Wave of Mutilation" scene, Justin Timberlakes bonkers musical number set to the Killers' "All These Things That I've Done," etc. while still managing to be a pretty bad (but fascinating) movie.

Jay Som's Turn Into was a very pleasant surprise, such a solid album that came out of nowhere. Really, really, really looking forward to her next album. Also I get to see Magnetic Fields perform 50 Song Memoir in it's entirety over two days in April and I cannot effing wait.

Mortal Kombat: Annihilation remains one of the most disappointing film experiences of my life. That movie is so bad it almost, almost, retroactively ruins the first film.

I will defend the first Mortal Kombat film until the day I die. It's Enter the Dragon meets Star Wars and it's fucking awesome and I love it and don't even try to tell me it's cheesy, poorly written or the CGI has aged horribly because I'm not listening.

Spider Man and the X-Men in Arcade's Revenge may be the most disappointing game of my childhood. I saved up my allowance for months to get that game. I mean it's Spider Man AND the motherfucking X-Men, together, in the same game, it should be amazing! But no, it was a flaming hot pile of garbage.

I re-watched Wayne's World the other day and at one point Rob Lowe's character drops a "LITERALLY" almost exactly the same way as Chris Traeger does, and I squealed like a little girl. It was pretty embarrassing.
