Perfect.

How’s about the Seventh Sign, starring Demi Moore, Michael Biehn  & Jurgen Prochnow?

I agree.  Lovecraft Country flew off the rails.  Great first few eps though

My man!

I just watched the first ep.  There was certainly a lot of sweat and blood.  I think you get more out of it if you buy into religious hokum, which I definitely don’t.  Where DARK had everybody talk in low tones all the time (while crying, 84% of the time)  this has everybody in histrionics.  That’s Spain for ya.

2021 COMES OUT SWINGING!!!!

And I fully support tweaking the second-year-college-activism of the modren crop of AVClub writers from time to time.

Ceiling is very different

Well, they shot most of it in Vancouver. Are you saying that the scene with the the tents in the store was ACTUALLY McGuckins in Boulder? Also, if it was the scene with Nadine, Larry, and Joe, they weren’t supposed to be in Boulder yet. I hope that it is the place, because you’re happy about it, but I just looked at

Memento style....hmmmm.    That’s a neat idea.  In principle.

I will, indeed, help.  This is straight from the book.  The turntable is described as something that you take to the beach in the book.  Don’t look at me, I’ve never seen one either.  But the turntable was, in the story, something that runs on batteries.

Right.  Theres that moment when he looks down at Rita’s bleeding feet and notices that they’ve been hoofing it all the way across a car strewn NYC while she’s been wearing spaghetti strap heels, (which, incidentally, taught me that there was such a thing as spaghetti strap heels).  He’s unreasonably angry, and she’s

Well said, Biochemist. I have never been let down by how King structures a story. Be it linear or the impressive flashback-within-flashback-within-flashback.

I mean, he literally warned you not to read that part. He seemed bemused, himself, that he wrote it.

I work in film.  I worked on the atrocious tv remake of Beaches a few years back.  I can tell you that often there is no love for the property.  It’s got name recognition and they’re able the get the rights to it, and that’s good enough.  I agree, everything here looks chintzy.  I recognize several locations, and know

The book has two CDC locations. Atlanta, the main one, and Stovington, a secondary one. Only after this series started did I discover that Stovington doesn’t exist as a town, let alone a CDC. And here I thought the made up town was Ogunquit.

Doctor Sleep is strangely unsung.  I really liked it. The villain was great and it was pretty scary...and it didn’t balk at a particularly nasty moment

Agreed that the car thing is ridiculous. Even if you ARE suddenly sick with TubeNeck, the first thing you’ll do is pull over. People aren’t dying just as a bolt out of the blue behind the wheel of their car...

I missed the newspaper angle.  It’s all just so haphazard.  I have to assume that they’re in a rush to get to the Fireworks Factory and don’t care a whit about how they get there.

It’s bad in both versions, so I don’t really know which you’re referencing.  It’s all very unconvincing.
