I had it even worse. They showed this to a group of Grade 5 kids in my school. At the end of the school year just before I went off to stay at my uncle’s farm. Didn’t sleep all summer. ... But I’ve watched this movie ahundred times since then. It was very affecting and I was traumatized... But it led directly to my

Just checking....women are NOT capable of getting canned for unknown reasons, just like men?

Impressive attention to detail, having Jimmy walk by the beat up ashcan in the garage and note it before having his cry. He tuned up that ashcan in S1 or S2 after having another meeting that didn’t go well in the boardroom.

I tried to delete that.  Obviously it was from another thread.  But, of course, Kinja.  Pardon me, all.

I’ve been working in the film biz for 25 years. The reason I got into it was because of NOTLD. I loved that movie and wanted to be involved. Romero was a hero of mine and made some good films.....

WEAK episode.  This is the kind of ep that legitimizes the claim that this show is “past it”.  A funny-in-her-own-right host and yet still tepid, pointless skits.  Truly, I thought the dance battle sketch was the best use of Aukwahfeena’s talents, and she did little except mug. The blocking of the the baby shower

Looking forward to this Peggy's sensibilities are too comedic for Hughie anyway.

Having seen the end I have to wonder why they even HAD Allyce Beasley in this. They must have cut her part or something.  A wasted character.

It certainly was pulling for that, though, wasn’t it? Hell, 75 percent of the plot points from ESofSM appear.

The Volvo Mantleroy THOUGHT was her car was also in the reflections. It was from the 80s Lemur Heist.

all I cared about was Merritt Wever...so, Hooray

The entrails scene was one of the specific moments I recognized from AvED. I liked the show fine....I just didn’t see Preacher in the same vein....er, entrail.

Exactly right.  The Queen crouched and saddened.  The King laid down, having succumbed.  That could have been too on the nose.  But it added a little stab to the heart in this.

Interesting.

Looks like it’s just you and me, bud.....

Cassidy’s “I’d rather be sad” line was gorgeous and well delivered. His whole story line seems meaningless, however. I’m enjoying it, but it ties to nothing in the main story and we know Cassidy won’t die, so, huh?

Ha!  That’s the name that popped for me as well.

That was a pretty good film.  I haven’t heard it mentioned in 30 years, though

So she had someone picking up her slack.  She did a job and got a nomination.  You’re being an asshole about it.
