34 whole minutes elapsed before the Hitler compar-o... Welcome to the age of “everything I don’t like is a genocidal psychopath hell bent on world domination".

Many times. It will hold 1st up to redline, but it will still be a slushy awful automatic.

So much disagree. I wheeled my XJ for years with its original AW4, and about 2 years ago I swapped out for an AX15. I absolutely, positively will NEVER go back to wheeling with an auto. There is so much more control. The 4.56 gears make it so that I can simply idle over nearly any obstacle in 4 low/1st gear. When you

Holy crap... I did not know this was a thing. My wife’s ‘04 Jetta TDI always smelled like crayons. I just assumed it was because she taught second grade and the smell just followed her home!

4.0 AX-15 XJ. /thread.

How has no one mentioned the fact that the older generation was available in brown diesel manual form? The first vehicle I ever dove at 12 years old was an ‘84 in 2 tone brown with a 6.2 diesel. And with that awful diesel, the mileage was on par with the new one.

You misspelled Miata 10 times.

The 3100/3400 is a delicate soap bubble of an engine. Efficient? Sure. Reliable? No. Indestructable? Hell naw! The 3800, on the other hand? Hell of an engine. I still maintain that any Y2K era GM product is an utter crapcan.

After spending a weekend in a rented 2016 F-150 XLT Supercrew with the 3.5 EB, I just have to ask: why would I buy a Ridgeline? I honestly thought I would hate the F-150, but the aluminum body made it surprisingly nimble, the driving dynamics were very car-like, the fuel economy was fantastic by comparisson to trucks

He’s in Oregon... and pumping his own gas?! How is this possible? Oregon tells me I’m too dumb and dangerous to pump my own gas, so I have to rely on the 19 year old trained professional to hose down the entire side of my Miata with gas...

I’m an XJ owner of 14 years. I wouldn’t sell mine for $100,000. Still, CP. I’d consider it at $5,500. The AX-15 is of no consequence. I bought my ‘97 XJ for peanuts as a 2wd auto and I’ve got about $1,500 wrapped up in the 4x4/AX-15 swap. Literally the ONLY thing I cared about when I bought it was that there wasn’t a

And just like that, I no longer find the Panamera repulsive. Good work, Porsche.

My 3400 Impala bested about 34 mpg, but 32 was easy, every day driving. The absolute worst I ever saw (and I have a very heavy foot) was 24 mpg. I think the EPA rating was around 16/24, making it the only vehicle I ever achieved in excess of the rated mpg.

I’ll give you that. I had an ‘89 Olds 88 with a 3800 that ran great at 245k, but the rust had taken over. The 3100/3400 were just terrible, though. I had an ‘01 Impala (3400) that I bought with 19k miles and at 80k I sold it to a buddy who needed a car. At about 81k the head gaskets went, and shortly after that the

Nothing?

But the real question is: what do they call French Dressing? Is it just “Dressing"?

There are so many on the road because the first owner had it for 10 years and only put 12,000 miles on it going to church and bridge night at the senior center. They’re really just as awful and unreliable as any GM product of that era.

Long time XJ and Miata owner, here. The truth has been spoken.

Born and raised in MN, then lived the last decade in Florida and Oregon. 5 minutes across the Minnesota border is all it takes to get my accent back!

With the current climate of the political, offend no one Air Force, I think it should be called the B-21 Handholder, or Heartsandmindswinner. Stratofluffy?
