Hey buddy! Sorry to hear you didn't like Syndicate. Assassin's Creed as a series certainly isn't for everyone, and even I tend to dislike the series' entries more often than I like them. But in this case, for this game with this setting, it really spoke to me for reasons I hope I was able to communicate in my above

I've played X and XII, but wouldn't call my responses to them "unambiguously positive." X I didn't manage to finish, mostly out of disinterest (great battle system though.) XII I actually enjoyed quite a lot, and have been meaning to replay, but I never fully connected with the cast or the story. Maybe it's unfair to

We all make our submissions, complete with "I liked [game] because [reason]" pitch, and in the case of overlap Matt assigns writeups to whoever had the most compelling angle.

Victoria is a great character, but best? She's not even, like top 5!

Yeah, I think it was deliberately left unclear how many people died in the storm, so you can sort of adjust how much you want to punish yourself for making the choice you did.

The "correct" choice is to save Chloe and I WILL NOT BE TOLD OTHERWISE BY ANYBODY, WASH ARCADIA BAY INTO THE SEA, BLOW UP THIS WHOLE DUMPSTER OF A PLANET I DON'T CARE I'M NOT LEAVING CHLOE

Second. Veep has such a strong cast that literally any one of its performers could be argued to be that show's VIP, but Sam Richardson consistently got the biggest laugh out of me in every single episode.

Oh man it's super comforting that it hit you that hard and you're in your 30s. Several times over the last couple weeks I've thought to myself that this is the moodiest I've ever been in my life, and I'm 28 years old. I honestly wasn't even this despondent when I was a teenager myself.

The people who like Life Is Strange reeeeeally like Life Is Strange. I oughta know, I played this game earlier this month and I'm still fucking reeling from it. I'm sure one of these days I'm going to wake up in the morning and have something other than a video game about magic gay teenagers solving mysteries in

I found much the same thing on my first trip through the game. Episode 1's dialogue seemed conspicuously clunky to me when I played it, but as the game progressed, either the writing got better, or easier to forgive, or I just started to like it more for what it was. By the time I hit Episode 3 or 4 it didn't bother

We hope to see you too bud!

Yeah I caved. Shipping to Toronto nearly doubled the cost, but fuck it, this is honestly like a Top 3 Favourite Of All Time game for me.

This talking dog from a nightmare timeline makes a compelling argument.

Oh man. I was gonna pass on the Limited Edition because I don't normally like having tchochkes and crap all over the place, and I already acquired the soundtrack through… uh… 100% ethically and legally sound channels, but the fact that there's a director's commentary might be what pushes me into buying it.

Hey all. Haven't checked in on WAYPTW in a little while because for a stretch there I was playing either a) something I was reviewing and therefor couldn't really talk about, or b) something I desperately didn't want to get accidentally spoiled for me.

Aw man these are real neat, this person nailed that Kingdom Hearts feel.

Aaaaaaaa Snowbelle City is such a good choice, aaaaaaaaaaaa I wish I'd thought of that

I guess as far as unpleasant surprises go, having No Man's Sky, Persona 5, and Final Fantasy XV all pushed to next year was sort of a bummer. Mind you, Persona 5 was the only one of those that had an official release date attached, so that one stung the hardest, but I think those were all suggested or at least rumored

If memory serves, Number 5 is finished, but the localization campaign was cancelled after dismal sales. Your best bet for finishing the series is finding fan translations online.

Really glad to see Sunny make this list. Folks: if you haven't read Sunny, read Sunny. It's great, definitely my favourite comic right now. I think the next volume is actually going to be the last one, which is a bummer, but it's been basically perfect so far.
