Real talk: I hope high-waisted pants come back. I hate when my shirt comes untucked. I don't really keep tabs on how the youths dress, but is wearing ultra skinny clothing still fashionable? If you want to buy a suit off the rack these days they're always cut so thin and so short. They look really fashionable and cool

Hey! That's The Taco Bell Bell's thing!

I quite agree with you about the ROSMs, they were a great element of the story. Like almost every other plate this story was spinning, they drifted between antagonizing and supporting the Doctor in his goals, and made the transition seem totally natural given the circumstances of the story. Plus, their highly logical

Hey ho all, and welcome back to the Big Finish Doctor Who Audio Drama Jamboree! This week we're covering:

Oh man, thanks for the heads up. I've been chronicling my experiences with the Big Finish stories on Mondays during the weekly AV Q&A threads, and I was reaching the end of the $3 episodes. I was really dreading having to start shelling out between 10 and 15 bucks for stories, so this is going to save me a bundle.

There's an a7x fan quote for every situation.

This weekend, as last, I'll be primarily playing two games. A quick rundown:

Just thinking the same thing. It sounds like summer, though, so if I pick it up now I'm going to have to keep it in storage until the temperature goes up. In winter you need heavy, emotional music that deals in either anger, sadness, or indignation- listening to the perfect track from Rising Down or Hail To The Thief

Oh shit, Alternate Soundtracks is back! Whaddup Derrick!

What about the Arcturians?

Aliens tower defence game:

If alternate history is your game, the Dark Horse line of Aliens comics are basically the opposite of Alien 3: the continuing adventures of Newt and Hicks, with Ripley basically nowhere to be seen. Mind you, if memory serves, things get weirdly sexual for those two characters.

There was a Streets of Rage style Alien Versus Predator beat-em-up arcade game where one of the characters was a space ninja who fought xenomorphs with a katana. I don't think it's considered canon.

I actually thought something similar at first. I'm still pretty excited for this, but this idea seems almost better suited to a quickie downloadable title sort of format. Even 6-10 hours seems like it could potentially be stretching a premise like this. Since the team has said they're focusing on creating an

I agree that the series' various auteur directors and experiments with tone and style make the series extremely interesting, it's one of my favourite things about the franchise, and one of the reasons I'm constantly revisiting even the "bad" entries.

It's good to know there are other Alien 3 apologists at the AV Club. History's going to vindicate Alien 3! It's already started!

Oh man, I am very really kinda excited about Alien Isolation. I know there's nothing to go on just yet but marketing hype, but that hype is pushing all my buttons for now. A couple of the lads from Creative Assembly were talking about the game recently, and they discussed specifically that the game is supposedly not

Oh hey, I didn't know The Trip was getting a sequel, I'll throw that one on the pile.

Pretty much all of my most anticipated stuff is represented here (Godzilla! Grand Budapest! Transistor!) but I've got to mention season 8 of Doctor Who. I know I've been really Doctor Whoy these last couple of weeks, what with the 50th and the Christmas special and all that, but I can't even really describe how

I'm pretty excited for Bravely Default, but I'm skeptical about the likelihood of Final Fantasy XV finally deigning to come out. I've been anticipating that one for what feels like ten years now. Between XV and Kingdom Hearts III it's enough to make you wonder what Nomura is doing over there all day.
