What’s weird is how she seems calm for the whole battle, but suddenly when everyone surrenders she just gets super angry? What the fuck is she mad at? Winning?

Once again D+D are forcing A to B without doing any of the work
They could have fix that so easily by killing Rhaegal in this episode, which could have made far much sense. Imagine Dany and Drogon looking at their dead family member, say “fuck it” and start torching everything.
It would have taken thirty seconds. Establish some scared Lannister archers in the streets of the city. After the rest surrender, have Dany land on a nearby wall. Drogon roars, the archers panic and fire, Drogon shrieks like he’s trying to draw a foul, Dany torches the archer, the other soldiers think they’re about to…
Honestly, I understand where the people saying that this has been Dany’s trajectory since S1 are coming from, but if it really has been, they’ve done a very poor job of expressing it. Yes, we’ve known for basically the entire run of the series that she’s had these prophecies laid out for her that very well could end…
Well, I for one am glad that there is Killing Eve and Doom Patrol to balance things out once Got fell into decline.
I’m not against Dany going ‘Mad Queen’ per say... but having it be done when everyone’s surrendered seemed like some lazy writing to force Dany v. Jon.
Next episode-
...well, I for one, as someone that isn’t watching the show because I didn’t have HBO for a long time and by the time it had reached “OMG EVERYONE’S WATCHING THIS THING” levels, it was like season 5 and catching up on like 50 hours of television is a bit daunting...
So, after eight seasons, the theme of the show is basically “bitches be crazy (or victims).”
If their subsequent parting wasn’t so painful, it would almost be hilarious how little game Jaime has when he doesn’t have Tormund around as an oafish foil. But was super adolescent and sad that we saw no tenderness.
I loved every second of Arya and Gendry this season, even him bending the knee. It all felt earned and earnest.
I think most normal people were honest that it is difficult to literally see somebody you helped raise having a sexual experience. I know my daughter will one day soon be sexually active (she’s 13). HAving…
If the Hound survives, I can see them doing mercenary work together. Maybe in the form of hunting down any of the remaining followers of the Lannister dynasty. Alternatively maybe she would just fade into obscurity which is where she would prefer to be.
I don’t know how happy of an ending that would be. What would Arya do next if she was out of people to take revenge on? Up until her list she could only define her future in terms of what she didn’t want. The list gave her purpose. At best it’d be a bittersweet ending like the finale of Buffy where she smiled at the…
Arya’s happy ending would be a list that’s completely taken care of - those that still remain on it that is.
I don't understand why everyone is so twisted over the sex scene. Character is of age, actress is of age, and it made sense in the story for it to happen. Bunch of prudes. You don't even see her completely naked.
I think what bothers me more is the way he finally sleeps with Brienne. From drinking games to barging into her room, demanding she take off her clothes... yeah, it was just bleh in general.
I saw plenty of people acknowledge it’s fine for Arya to grow into her sexuality on the show...but they also acknowledged that it was incredibly awkward to have us all watch it given we’ve known her (and her actress) since they were kids.
I agree the proposal was ill thought, and it was right for Arya to turn him down. But I do wonder what the future holds for Arya, between her and Sansa, they’ve been through so much, that I hope they can find some peace and happiness after this all ends.
“What that scene ended up doing was forcing people to confront their own hypocrisy in a way,” he said.
