I’m pretty sure my husband gets, like, ten percent gayer whenever he sees Jason Momoa and he’s generally a pretty heteronormative dude.

Literally not one of those things apply to me, and I think he’s sexy as hell. I’m a professional woman, regularly surrounded by clean-cut, boringly average men. It’s not remotely uncommon for people like me to be attracted to the rugged badass type. People are often attracted to things that are novel to them.
Jason…
This video made me really, really nauseated. I don’t even mean that as a critique, it honestly made my stomach turn. For whatever reason sex+food always makes me super queasy.
You guys are just getting it on Netflix? Here in Canada, they’ve had every episode online the day after it aired.
I’m jealous of anyone getting to watch this for the first time. It’s so damned cheesy and weirdly addictive.
I know, and every time they do I laugh because it’s like seeing ‘gluten free’ on a bucket of ice cream. Unnecessary, but there are the people who won’t know any better.
I was going to say something similar. Season one was fantastic. Season two, even, was okay. Now it’s become a show I keep guiltily hearing about and thinking, “I really should catch up with that at some point,” but I just really don’t want to.
Typical Yanks. ;)
I think many of us on the autism spectrum feel the same way. It’s why I generally prefer reading over watching television; things are literally spelled-out for me.
The Handmaid’s Tale has been my favorite book since I was fifteen. As a Canadian, I’m so irritated that I can’t access it on Hulu. Gotta wait until Sunday for it to air on Bravo, and even then we’ll only get one episode. Definitely pouting over here; I cannot wait to watch.
Fuck yes.
Please, please send one up here to Canada. Seeing Trudeau respond to it is exactly the thing I never realized I completely need in my life.
There’s no option for “hilarious” on the poll? That’s how I saw it. I didn’t realize it was supposed to be inspirational or anything other than ridiculous and bizarre. I saw it more of a parody of a certain type of creepy person than actually creepy. I must have watched it ten times, and giggled every time. That it was…
Did you read it through or give up on it? I ask because I REALLY had a hard time getting into it. I felt like it took an unreasonably long time to get interesting- but once it did, I was really hooked. I’m glad I gave it a chance because I did very much enjoy it in the end, but I remember being so frustrated by it…
I’ve watched the first few episodes and sort of forgot about it, but I’ll check it out!
Another thing I wanted to add was that Jughead liking Betty and kissing her doesn’t necessarily mean he’s not asexual. Some asexuals don’t have any attraction to anyone. Others are attracted in a romantic sense, just don’t have…
I’m onboard with him being an asexual in the television show for representation, but at the same time, yeah. It’s a teen drama, and I wanna see Juggy find love like everyone else. Also, his asexuality in the comic books is really recent canon. The comics I grew up with had him disliking relationships because people…
It’s funny, I’ve always been Team Betty, but I love Riverdale’s Veronica so much. And Betty/Jughead is really cute.
See, I don’t know. I don’t mind Jughead having a thing for Betty. While the most recent comics have Juggy being asexual, in the past few decades he has shown occasional interest in women. His problem is more about not liking the way guys lose their minds for women, getting all goofy and forgetting their friends. …
I think so. It’s completely bonkers, but I find it entertaining.
Fun Fact: Archie with Valerie is actually comic book canon. Very recent, but canon.
Except the majority of modern Quebecois don’t want to separate. Also, we held a couple of referendums, voted on by Quebecois, and neither passed. The last one was close, but unsuccessful. That they’re still a part of our nation is entirely due to the fact that they’ve chosen to be. We would hate to see them go,…
