Filho sounds terrible, but in a Dexter Morgan sort of way.

Gosh, yes. I mean, I never really hated her, but she was always sort of 'meh' for me. She's now one of my 'please don't kill her!!!' people.
Well, that's pretty damned presumptuous of you. And why the hell would I care whether someone's American or not? Oh, did you also presume I was one? Huh.
And by "well-intentioned", I mean he believed he was doing the right thing. A lot of well-intentioned people do really shitty things, which is why I said he made…
I feel the same way. I think he's a doofy, well-intentioned guy that SUCKED as a president. I hated him as president, but don't really have too many negative feelings about him now that he's not. I still disagree with much of what he has to say and what he believes, but then I compare him to some of the whackadoos…
Damned right. Trudeau is okay, and I'll take him over Harper any day, but Mulcair beats either them easily. I wish people would get over their socialist/NDP-phobia and listen to what Mulcair and his party members want to bring to the table.
Ditto to this. I absolutely adored Layton and was gutted when he passed away, so it's going to be pretty hard (in my eyes, at least) for anyone to measure up to him. That said, Mulcair's been saying and doing some fairly awesome things, and I'm glad (but not surprised) to hear he was behind this comment.
You realize people can get morally outraged about all of those things and ALSO be upset about having a show they enjoy being spoiled, right? If it doesn't negatively affect you, that's great- but who died and made you Master Of All Things That Matter?
Yeah, I don't even watch this show (I have an aversion to organized crime/gang violence-type stuff), but I just about everyone else I know does. Seeing the headline and picture shocked me a bit, especially knowing it only just aired and that it was such a major thing to happen in the show. I could see why people…
Oooh, ooh! Me, too! I named my youngest son after my favorite male superhero and fellow Canadian, Wolverine.
It's always a relief to hear something great come from someone you already liked. It seems like lately, so many of the celebrities I used to think we're pretty cool have been changing my mind through shitty actions and by saying awful things.
I have to say, even before Beth was killed, I was asking myself why they'd bring Noah with them to the hospital. He can barely walk, isn't a great fighter (from what I recall seeing), and everyone knows that Dawn's people have been after him/want him back. I feel like the smart choice would have been to leave him…
I thought it was pretty clear she was gay, too- but, then, I also feel like she's got a thing for Glenn (which has, more than once, caused me to ask myself "but she's not into dudes, right?"). I guess the obvious answer is that maybe I interpreted things wrong, or maybe she's bisexual. Also, with so few human beings…
I don't know, I was disappointed by Kirkman's announcement that Daryl was straight- and I'm a straight woman who thinks he's damned sexy.
The thing is, I'm not disappointed that he's straight, just as I wouldn't have been disappointed if he were gay. Mostly, I'm just disappointed that Kirkman said anything at all. …
I wish! Around here, the tubs of assorted bricks are impossible to find in stores. Either they sell out incredibly fast, or nobody stocks them anymore. It's been frustrating me for ages, because I'd much rather buy those.
There's also the fact that Canada tends to focus a bit more on rehabilitation. An important thing to note, too, is that we have dangerous offender status, which keeps the worst of the worst in jail longer (theoretically).
This is a fantastic point, and thanks for making it. Canada's got a pretty good track record of focusing on rehabilitation, so it is very hard to compare the two. Ask us again in a couple of years, though- Harper's been doing everything in his power to Americanize the criminal justice system, so I imagine the…
Yes, but a lot of people DO want to and need to see it. I'd like to see caloric information posted on everything I eat, so I have an easier time making decisions (without having to go online and look up the information). I think a lot of people feel the same way, and they'd probably agree that visual clutter isn't…
I'm a fan of vinegar on my fries, and good old fashioned ketchup. I also love a good poutine. Sometimes, I like to put ketchup ON the poutine (the gravy and ketchup together does a nice sweet/salty/savory thing). Occasionally, I like to dip my fries in tartar sauce (if I'm also eating fish). Chipotle mayo is my…
I feel like she somehow manages to look interested and disinterested at the same time. That's a special skill.
I'm so upset. I would watch an entire show consisting just of Ma Petite trying on outfits and smiling.
