I love Anne Rice. I really do. I've loved her since I was thirteen and first discovered her world of wonderful, sensual, bisexual vampires. She's had her moments of weirdness over the past few decades, but recently caught my attention again when she publicly distanced herself from the Catholic church because she

Do you believe that pornographic actors and actresses are rapists and or the victim of sexual assault because they are paid for what they do? Obviously, because they collect a paycheque, it means they don't ACTUALLY want to have sex with one another. What does that make the people who view pornography?

No,

Yes. Freaking yes. Thank you. This is one of my biggest pet peeves when talking about prostitution- the fact that society infantalizes people who work in the sex industry and assumes that they must all be victims in some way. Clearly, there are real serious issues on this planet with regards to sex trafficking.

Well, Gendry is a character from the books (the same character as from the show)- they just sort of merged him with Edric Storm's character in the interest of not introducing too many new faces/storylines. Non-book readers find the huge number of characters to be overwhelming.

I actually love the series and don't

Well, they're just going to have to make it work, won't they??? ;)

LOVE Asha, but really couldn't give less of a shit about her uncles. Though, I guess we still don't really know where those storylines are going; for all we know they're critical to the plot.

You know, you're probably right, but how disappointing would that be?? I love those women.

Yes, I do think it comes a bit later on. As far as the show goes, I can see how it would have been an amazing way to end the season- but I also think that it's going to have a more powerful effect on viewers if they hold off on that for a while. I don't think the shock of it would have been quite as powerful if

I agree with you- I don't see the point of introducing Beric if they're not going to go down that route. I think they will go there, personally- though, another poster had mentioned that they might not and that had me worried. That's one of my favorite storylines in the series!

Bingo! That's the one I was alluding to. I was just loading that comment thread when everything vanished. I was worried I was being too vague in my avoidance of spoilers.

To be honest, I wasn't really expecting to see her this episode, just based on the fact that there was so much story to fit into one last

Frustration! I really wanted to read that comment thread on the possible character that may or may not be appearing in the series. You know, the one who has an affect on Brienne's storyline? The one with a familiar face?

....You know the one.

Maybe it's the Aspergers talking, but I don't get the desire to touch a stranger, period. Their hair, their skin- anything. Heck, I don't even feel comfortable offering compliments on a person's clothing/nails/jewelry/whatever; it seems incredibly personal and intimate to me to acknowledge that you're paying that

And Ghost! Everybody be forgetting about Ghost.

Nymeria's still alive... somewhere. And don't forget about Ghost!

Final Fantasy X murdered my soul. I may have possibly, maybe, bawled like a baby at the end.

Maybe.

I concur.

I also loved 7 (was the first I played), 8 and 9. Didn't care for 11 or 12, though.

Was going to say, just about every child I saw in that video was buckled in wrong.

Which, of course, does not make them any less adorable. I just am a worrier.

Holy freaking hell, I've never seen that before. Um... at least it's a deleted scene?

(No, sorry, can't. Trying to cling to one of my favorite animated scenes from my childhood, but I can't make excuses no matter how hard I try. That's just horrible, no matter how you slice it.)

Thank you, and yes!

My online handle's been MercuryBlue since I was twelve (I'm thirty now), and it started because I was (and still am) a total Moonie. Mercury's my favorite. The upside is that my friends can pretty easily find and trace me online.

The downside is that my friends can pretty easily find and trace me

This is actually how it's worked in our house for almost a decade- I control the finances, and husband gets a weekly "allowance" so he can buy smokes, snacks, that sort of thing. People think it's really weird (especially considering he works and earns his paycheque just like I do), but it works well because the
