Well, Gendry is a character from the books (the same character as from the show)- they just sort of merged him with Edric Storm's character in the interest of not introducing too many new faces/storylines. Non-book readers find the huge number of characters to be overwhelming.

I actually love the series and don't

First thing that came to mind for me, too.

Second thing was, "I seriously need to go rewatch that series for the bazillionth time."

Well, they're just going to have to make it work, won't they??? ;)

LOVE Asha, but really couldn't give less of a shit about her uncles. Though, I guess we still don't really know where those storylines are going; for all we know they're critical to the plot.

You know, you're probably right, but how disappointing would that be?? I love those women.

Yes, I do think it comes a bit later on. As far as the show goes, I can see how it would have been an amazing way to end the season- but I also think that it's going to have a more powerful effect on viewers if they hold off on that for a while. I don't think the shock of it would have been quite as powerful if

I agree with you- I don't see the point of introducing Beric if they're not going to go down that route. I think they will go there, personally- though, another poster had mentioned that they might not and that had me worried. That's one of my favorite storylines in the series!

Bingo! That's the one I was alluding to. I was just loading that comment thread when everything vanished. I was worried I was being too vague in my avoidance of spoilers.

To be honest, I wasn't really expecting to see her this episode, just based on the fact that there was so much story to fit into one last

Frustration! I really wanted to read that comment thread on the possible character that may or may not be appearing in the series. You know, the one who has an affect on Brienne's storyline? The one with a familiar face?

....You know the one.

I was a bit skeeved out by it, myself.

Maybe it's the Aspergers talking, but I don't get the desire to touch a stranger, period. Their hair, their skin- anything. Heck, I don't even feel comfortable offering compliments on a person's clothing/nails/jewelry/whatever; it seems incredibly personal and intimate to me to acknowledge that you're paying that

And Ghost! Everybody be forgetting about Ghost.

Nymeria's still alive... somewhere. And don't forget about Ghost!

Yes, you make a good point, though I would be absolutely SHOCKED if Jon does not live. I also agree with you, I think Jon is most likely Lyanna's son as well- though, that would still make him a Stark. ;)

True- though the Starks are still not "done". Also, there is the matter of Jon, who is also a Stark. True, he's at the Wall, but things happen. Who knows where he'll wind up?

I'm with you. The loss of Grey Wind made me sadder than the loss of Robb or Cat.

Also, I don't know what heywhat means in saying "the Starks are done"; we still have four Starks running around, three of whom are important POV characters in the books, with quite a bit of story ahead of them. Robb's not really an

That was me, too. I was all cocky, thinking that I'd come through that cool as a cucumber. I was looking forward to watching my husband's reaction (because he hasn't read the books).

But, no. I wound up ugly-crying and with a serious case of heartburn as the credits rolled.

I actually agree with this, as a heterosexual woman. In the books, I was sort of baffled because I didn't think the description of Daario was remotely attractive. I didn't think Khal Drogo sounded all that hot, either. I guess I wouldn't have minded seeing Daario with just a little bit more flair (I'm glad they

Without being too spoilery, it's not technically any of those things, though your last guess basically comes the closest.

Final Fantasy X murdered my soul. I may have possibly, maybe, bawled like a baby at the end.

Maybe.
