Sheer, dumb luck that nobody has been hurt by it. Do we let people off the hook if they shoot into a crowd of people but miraculously nobody is hit? What happens when someone does get injured or killed by a flaw that Tesla should have discovered in testing? The fact that they’ve been lucky so far is no excuse.

People are going to point to this as “terrible Tesla” but the important thing here is a huge difference from GM or Toyota.
