No, but I will definitely check it out based upon this recommendation.  Thanks!

So you're why Josie exists?

Top Chef continues something of a redemptive arc with this season and this episode in particular.  The producers managed to not let the locale and potential for gimmickry overwhelm the challenges, and I think they actually tried to provide a great experience for the contestants.  Glacier helicopter ride, dog-sledding,

I'd play the Top Chef bullet-hell shooter.

Yeah, for sure.  I think they both have a really deft hand with flavor profiles, and Kristen seems to approach it from a different angle.

I agree, this is an amazing top three.  No fireworks, nothing crazy, just three really good chefs who don't necessarily overlap too much in cuisines or strengths.  One could argue that Brooke and Kristen have similar philosophies when it comes to their dishes, but they clearly have differing influences.

Lizzie's dish sounded like it tasted great, but I think once again Kristen's originality and deft hand with balanced dishes brought her the win.  Colicchio seemed genuinely and pleasantly surprised by the pomegranate addition and her whole "editing" process.

I'm regularly confused as to why they haven't just handed the keys to the building to Weisman, Timm, and Dini.

Tom seems so happy to be doing LCK most of the time.  It'd appear that he's on the same page as a lot of us: the regular season has way too much bullshit, and LCK reminds him of why he does the show at all (other than money and exposure).

The overall quality of this season would be so much higher from a viewer perspective if they had either rolled each LCK episode into the main episode or showed it directly afterward.

Tom did mention "the next leg of your journey" to Kristen during LCK, so I imagine there will be another location.

It sucks that LCK and the judges' blogs are better at delivering the throughlines of the episodes and the competitors than the actual main episodes.  Gail wrote that Sheldon's bread was made very well but the taste profile didn't work, and that she really enjoyed eating his dish overall.  Hugh wrote that Sheldon's

Next time, on Mad Deep Space Nine…

Why is a dog talking like the HBO Italian Janitor of Cock?

The Blind Assassin is the bee's knees.

Mirah performed at my college campus as well several years ago.  I like her music a lot, but she was forgetting lyrics, stopping in the middle of songs, and in general wasn't on her game; the crowd wasn't great either.  But I remember what it was like to first hear "Jerusalem" or "The Dogs of B.A.", so I'm glad to

If anyone comes back to this review, check out Local Natives' performance of "Heavy Feet" filmed by La Blogotheque on youtube ("Teaser for the Soirée de Poche").  It encapsulates everything that is great about this album and illustrates how the reviewer seemed to miss the mark.

She is slowly metamorphosing into Cersei Lannister before our eyes, minus the incest.

I think she still has some issues with nerves or too many ideas conflicting in her head, but she's definitely up there as one of the most intelligent chefs from the past few seasons.

In some of those shots of Kristen, she was wearing what looked to be a scarf borrowed from Lenny Kravitz.  Anyway, I completely agree that the LCK episodes, in terms of structure and balance, have been more successful than the main episodes.  But that being said, I'm still hoping for a killer finale, given the talent
