Sure. I’m not debating the functionality of the device at all, and I’m 100% in agreement that I’m for driver protection regardless of aesthetics.  My point was simply that this particular implementation, to me, looks worse than the alternatives that we’ve seen.

The thing on your pic would be way worse. The only visibility obstruction of the halo is straight ahead and placed between the driver’s eyes. That thing would have two visibility obstruction, on the left and on the right, when turning, which is something f1 driver do a lot.

Subjectivity and all that, but I don’t agree at all with it looking “awesome”.  It looks far too upright when viewed from the front, and the lines does not naturally flow into the rest of the car.  Maybe the “production” versions will be better integrated, but as it stands I find the F1 halo, and the aeroscreen that…
