Her child was super excited, and she didn’t want to take that away from her. That doesn’t preclude her from critiquing the options available; in fact it gives her a larger platform to do so.

Feel free to criticize Patricia Arquette for roles she shouldn’t be taking wrt to her own principled stand on pay equity. (Not to mention the lack of interesting roles written for women).

This is some bullshit victim blaming. The whole point is - these are the options POC have, literally. Rock understands there’s a Wanda Sykes best black friend category, but there’s also an Asian graphic designer or accountant or Latino helper or service category. There are no good options for POC performers. I’m glad

fuck off

She probably assumed the Oscars wouldn’t be racist.

People were piling on to you for pointing this out before.

Apologies for misunderstanding.

I’m saying that my experience is different than yours in terms of being dismissed (literally) and figuratively as a POC voice supporting Sanders. Just because you haven’t “read” those, doesn’t mean they are less true. Again the main person on trolling on this thread is NOT a Sanders supporter, hes a republican.

As a POC on Gawker, that’s not my experience, including the poster on this thread who’s a Republican.

Yes, white HRC supporters on Gawker Media are relentless and condescending.

I’m also talking about the white HRC supporters on this blog.

FYI, the commenter you promoted is a Republican, not a Sanders supporter.

The women I know who support Sanders, including myself, are POC.

Can you cease pretending to speak for all Sander supporters? I’m a POC, my friends are POC, and we all support Sanders because of his outreach efforts are more consistent and genuine than Clinton’s, currently and historically. Meanwhile, white people keep pandering to me and telling me it’s in my interest as POC to

But it does show Clinton is simply not interested.

It’s funny because I only get contempt and syrupy condescension from white Clinton supporters. Please don’t say you speak for all POC.

I find it condescending and disingenuous. She’s basically conceding that she’s accepting POC support but not invested in making any changes. Props to this woman.

We are, all of the above.

She only makes such concessions when she is confronted, and even her reaction to being confronted was not very open. It will take more genuine effort from her acknowledging her past and proactively including the people that support her.
