The best interpretation is that she left it up to Kesha and family to make it public, and then confirmed that it was a show of support; I think it’s actually a remarkable thing she did, both privately, and now publicly.

I am not a single issue voter either, but this is important to me to understand where Clinton is coming from re: racial justice, and if she’s willing to acknowledge her own missteps, as well as if she’s improving. I also don’t think Sanders is ideal, only better on most of these issues.
