The best interpretation is that she left it up to Kesha and family to make it public, and then confirmed that it was a show of support; I think it’s actually a remarkable thing she did, both privately, and now publicly.

I’m OK with this. Dr. Luke’s lawyers are trying to bleed her dry, and Sony is Kesha’s literal source of income.

I understand where your coming from. I don’t think accesscode’s original comments were ever condescending, but important, so I also understand their point of view as well.

I don’t see any part of this deeper understanding that’s condescending.

I am really surprised people are having such difficulty understanding this. Thanks for being so patient.

This is not hard. It depends on context, including power dynamics in different geographies.

Racism = Prejudice + Power

I am not a single issue voter either, but this is important to me to understand where Clinton is coming from re: racial justice, and if she’s willing to acknowledge her own missteps, as well as if she’s improving. I also don’t think Sanders is ideal, only better on most of these issues.

Also I’m searching because you said, without any context:

I’m not trying to convince you of anything, I’m actually interested in your perspective on Hillary’s racial justice record and platform. I think she has things to apologize for, including calling black kids super predators. It’s fucked up. I’m willing to grant that she’s evolving, I’m open to it.

On their parts, I think she’s saying that tactically, not morally.

I think Obama extended the discussion because of her criticism (after the terms of the meeting had changed once already). It was a meaningful challenge which yielded results.

He’s calling them out. And I must be lucky, because in my periphery, the supporters I know have a sense of urgency and disillusionment, but aren’t dicks.

John Lewis hasn’t spoken to her racial justice platform, as far as I know.

?

Not a sir. I’m a brown woman. I am genuinely curious if you had more information about her racial justice platform; of course it’s not your job to express it. I disagree with you that her heart has been in the right place historically, but I think she can improve. I’m genuinely curious if you have any insight there.

No worries. With you about assumptions about identity though. It’s pretty exhausting.

Whoops, misunderstood, sorry, I thought you said you were well-known Sanders supporter.

Just so we’re clear here, you’re not making a positive case for Clinton being better on racial justice than Sanders.

You’re arguing Clinton will be more effective, but you aren’t saying how she will be more effective, but more importantly, you’re not saying what her goal is: what will she be more effective doing?

Also non white, not male supporter of Sanders.
