I get that Beyonce is evolving, but where was this music video in 2005?

Kanye and Lil Wayne spoke up but I didn’t hear anything from Beyonce.

pshhh nola’s cooler than houston but she’s super texas

red lobster isn’t really even a southern or a nola thing it’s all about popeyes.

Just by clearing up the misunderstanding in his public appearances rather than letting it ride, and shouting out/giving explicit credit to the founders in those appearances would go a long way.

OK but for real where is this ice cream shop?

She and Sanders have very similar policy positions, and she’s the only female senator who’s held off on a Clinton endorsement. Warren’s been in the game for years and I’m sad that she didn’t run this year, but I don’t think she’s endorsing Clinton:

I don’t care about whether anyone in particular runs for office (that’s a personal decision), and this isn’t even necessarily a gender issue. It’s just about acknowledging that you were late to the party and giving credit where it’s due, which McKesson can still do.

Not talking about running for office(that’s a personal decision). I’m talking about giving credit where it is due.

I’m saying he has done so as an activist, not as a newly minted candidate for mayor. If I lived in Baltimore, I’d vote for him. But he ought to acknowledge where the movement has come from more when he accepts invites for photo-ops and high profile interviews.

Exactly. I don’t think reparations for Japanese Americans were anti-socialist.

So you think that reparations for Japanese Americans in internment camps during WWII were at odds with the tenets of socialism?

I don’t see how reparations and socialist policies are mutually exclusive.

Yeah that was gross.

whoops did not mean to post this twice.

I’ve seen a few arguments like this, and the question remains: why not both? Why not a moral reckoning for the United States as well as universal policies which address socioeconomic disadvantages.

McKesson is also default accepting the publicly bestowed title of the standard bearer of the movement, when the women who’ve actually been on the ground for years and actually are the architects of the movement are being minimized:

It is if Campaign Zero is his platform, and he enacts the measures he outlined — something quite achievable in the office is running for.

I know, Iraq must have been like Jesus Christ WTF?
