Look, I love Morrissey’s music. That said, I just can’t support this guy financially anymore (thought buying music/etc.); his opinions are too gross.

Did they popularize it in some way? I only ask because off the top of my head both Motörhead and Blue Öyster Cult were using them earlier than Hüsker Dü was.

Metal and punk bands/scenes have been butchering linguistic notations (the umlaut particularly) for many decades now. I’m not sure why, or how it started, but you can find them all over the place.

If you like Deafheaven, I would like to suggest the band Wolves in the Throne Room. They’re a little more black metal-y, and less post-rock-y than Deafheaven, but I always liken the two bands together.

I don’t feel like she’s actually eating it though. Maybe there are are more complete videos that show her swallowing the pages, but based on the compilation video above, she’s just putting the pages into her mouth (maybe she is swallowing the pages, I just don’t see the evidence in the compilation video).

I saw the first “Saw” film during the end of its theatrical run, in a theater all by myself. It was one of the coolest experiences I’ve had as a horror film fan. I still think it holds up (even if viewings after the first time are sort of relegated to not being as strong).
