So let me get this straight. Black woman loved a product until they saw a lighter-skinned woman using it? And now they hate it?

Anyone can comment on anything. You aren’t the decider. And that is not what the comment said. Taking your beauty products less seriously will lead to a more harmonious life. Save the outrage for something appropriate and“you should just not have commented really”.

Are companies no longer allowed to target specific demographics with their ads? They already have the POC market cornered, so there is a lot more money to make in a demographic they don’t already control. They aren’t forgetting their existing consumers, they are trying to win new ones.

I can’t watch the commercial here at work with sound, so maybe I’m missing something. But did they change the product at all? Doesn’t seem like it, from what I’m reading. So what’s the problem? Or have they completely abandoned advertising for black women with kinky hair? I just feel like I’m missing something

Best part is seeing talk about hair commercials and how they use them to get the idea of how one’s hair is gonna be like. Well let me tell you something hair commercials are faker than silicone tits.

From your comment, it’s clear you do not understand how business and marketing work. Expanding product offerings to larger markets is common sense for any business.

This is ridiculous. Black ppl need to chill on this one. Theres so few black owned businesses on a national level that are really doing it and we are not going to support them because they want white womens money too? Ok, let’s jus dump our money into Pantene or the other white owned hair care products who jus jumped

This strikes me as insane.

About 23% of adults in Mercer country are defined as “low level” reading, which is defined as below fourth grade. Such adults struggle to read road signs, newspaper articles, and job applications. The study that found this is a bit dated, but the area remains in dire economic straits so I can’t imagine it’s gotten

How do you whitewash marketing? If the point of the ad is to let white people know a product works for their hair also, wouldn’t that just be targeting a new market segment? This would be like getting pissed at Cadillac when their marketing realized that their brand can’t be only old white people, because those folks

Because ignorance is king in the south and the rural areas. Haven’t you seen the election, most of those idiots who voted for drumpf were uneducated white rural people and then there were the rest of those idiots.

JUST DO IT AT CHURCH!! Jesus Christ, people, you have a whole day that is supposedly set aside for EXACTLY THIS KIND OF THING. Or, if it really needs to be multiple days, do it during school vacation! I got forced to go to enough vacation bible schools/ other assorted religious bullshit to know that these kind of

I would have loved to join a bible study class when I was a little girl.

“Students at that age really aren’t prepared to tell the difference between what is history and what is religious conviction.”

There is a great deal of not just poetry and prose in the Bible, but from what Ive read almost every piece of history thats in the Bible has eventually been proven, says Rev. Ray Hurt, who preaches in Mercer County.

Hard not to report the name of someone who was kidnapped and had an Amber Alert for them. Kind of defeats the purpose of trying to track her down.

She was missing and expected to be alive. In circumstances like that the police will release the name to the public, in the hopes that she can be returned alive to wherever she’s supposed to be.

Can’t marry them otherwise! /s

I think because she was a missing person her name was already widely reported and his was reported as a person of interest in her disappearance, so it’s probably a little too late to put the horse back in the barn on this one.
