Sure it is. Standard deposit is one months rent, which in this case would be over $13,000. If damages do end up being more than that, send them an invoice. It's not like this lady is cleaning anything herself.

Why is she even sending this letter in the first place? The thing to send is an itemized invoice and a bill for anything over deposit. It's only a lawsuit situation if they refuse to pay for damages, which doesn't sound like the situation.
