And the difference is that the MMA tournament organizers don’t have rules against such behavior, even if I think it’s completely unsporting.

Refusal to tolerate bigotry isn’t itself bigotry. That’s one of the phoniest excuses for being a mean person out there. “Let me do and say all these things that marginalise you and erase your existence. And don’t you dare criticise me for it! How dare you be intolerant of my intolerance?!”
