I think some people are being overly cynical. This ain't Breaking Bad, but it ain't Dexter either. It's an enjoyably pulpy show. With Nicotero zombies.
@Joke99:disqus Given Rick's history of decision-making, Carl would do well to ignore him.
He's the Ryan Seacrest of mildly interesting fandoms.
I'm was relieved when they didn't zoom in on a Beats by Dre logo.
Yes. There ought to be quite the pile-up by now, which would make it harder to kill them ones climbing up higher and higher.
@avclub-372d0439bee1dcd7f2702bfd7863c343:disqus I tried reading the Walking Dead comics and I just can't get into them. The only comic I ever enjoyed were the graphic novelization (or whatever) of Night of the Living Dead. That must have been about 20 years ago. I have the same issue with graphic novels as I do anime…
Carl is my favorite character and I loved his attitude towards the other kids. More grizzled weary Carl! (He should totally morph into Charles Bronson ala Death Wish 3)
This is something that really bothers me. Why aren't some of the zombies "fresher" looking? The zombie make-up on this show is way too uniform.
@avclub-02be845a15ff79338f340d49a0e71f1e:disqus I hated the movie, is the book worth reading? Is it a real book or a comic? I can't get into 'graphic novels'.
I kinda want to agree with you but there must be millions of them wandering around. Maybe the people are too stupid to stay out of sight and stay quiet? It doesn't exactly make sense that so many should be drawn to a relatively quiet group of people but.. show's gotta keep up that zombie tension, I guess.
Carl is obviously the 80s Reaganite amongst the younger, soft liberal pinko-commie hippies, yes?
I choose to believe that you are being totally genuine, dear poet. Shine on, sweet songbird.
If anybody is gonna get that, it should be Daryl (Carol and Carl would like to watch).
@avclub-8c6dcc4e048cbce98d9881c6880303e1:disqus Not sure who Max Brooks is, but that sounds pretty dumb to me. I mean, why wouldn't bugs/bact eat zombie flesh? They have no problem eating the flesh of people with major virus/disease. Just sounds like nerdy rationalizing/thinking too hard. Eh, either way it's just…
T-Dog was Black Hardwick? No way. He didn't say enough stupid shit.
Yeah, you're right, the environment, insects, and bacteria would break down a zombie within a few months. But if we can't look past that, then there's no point in enjoying any zombie fiction at all.
#blackhardwickdown (or something equally awful)
I liked it. For once, Walking Dead opens at a slower pace. Characters are still introduced but remains little more than plot devices, and two died before making any impression beyond "Harry Potter" and "Boyfriend" but.. some really great scenes. I'm cautiously optimistic for more incremental improvements upon the…
Well, when the jokes allude to her being like the Wicked Witch of the East and Michael Jackson, then yes, I'd say they fit the definition of 'attack'. I think my definition is fine, and I think your reaction probably says more about you than it does about me.
