I don't care for rap but this sounded interesting enough to find a download. And the best part? The "deluxe edition" has instrumental versions so if I like the music I can listen to this in my car without embarrassment.

I like to think that punk died the day it was given a name.

To be fair to the Mighty Algorithm, the only reason I have any idea at all about Patrick Duffy is because of that South Park episode. I got a chuckle or two remembering it while reading this article.

Somewhat amazed that this comment has survived this long. I'm not offended, just surprised.

Cool in Winter! Summertime very hot! I make bed, very clean! You like? I bring soup!

I am a monkey. Hairless and free.

I've been to Mississippi, it's a hole in the earth for God to shit in when he's camping. The people who live there unbelievably stupid, ignorant, and far too proud/defensive of their "culture". Mind you, I live in Texas, which isn't really much better. But Mississippi would be great improved by a massive, Noah-style

I've put that movie down in recent years, but I guess I'll give it another viewing.

I'd say they constitute torture comedy more than torture porn. I was watching the original with commentary recently and I think Sam Raimi said that, while most horror movies are about people being picked off, Evil Dead was more or less about Bruce Campbell being picked on.

It's actually pretty terrible.

The reference-fest bothered me but most of the audience I was with seemed downright oblivious.

There's a fair amount of cgi in there, mostly used to enhance a practical effect but it is noticable. It took me out of the movie a few times.

I saw it. I hated it. But I'm coming to terms with the fact that I haven't liked a single horror movie made since the eighties. It's the photography and the formulaic nature of it all. Every horror movie has the same look, especially over the past decade or so. And call me old-fashioned, but I LOATHE CGI. This movie

So I guess I won't be getting that Ebert-penned sequel to Beyond The Valley of the Dolls now…

Am I the only one who saw that picture and thought she was, um, eating a hotdog… or something?

I laughed. Effective. Absurd. Although it would be in keeping with the original joke behind the MB packaging… it was wildly inconvenient because of the difficulty in getting the records out without scratching them. Or so I've read. I have an original pressing but it's display-only.

Huh, I think the bootleg sounds pretty good (my mp3 version at that). I actually think This Is What You Want… is the better record but I wouldn't object to a remastered Commercial Zone.

To be fair, can you really imagine a sax blaring along to FFF/Fishing/Rise/Bags?
