Hazing is quite different than simple seniority. Hazing is an attempt to humiliate someone for the excuse of “team building,” but of course team building can be accomplished in all sorts of ways. And even the shellback ceremony is significantly different than it used to be.

On the one hand, you have Deadspin writers who talk about unions like they are the best thing around.

The end of that game was as cool as any I have seen in a long time. I am not from a military family and had no rooting interest, but that was really awesome.

Has Kevin Harlan always been this good and I never realized it? Or has he gotten a little funnier lately. I love hearing that guy call a game.

In fact here is the article.

He was hired just to work the playoffs. Other coaches have done the same.

I stayed at a hotel in San Antonio when the Suns were playing the Spurs in the playoffs. The night before the game I was in the hotel bar, and Mike Breen, Jon Barry and Jeff Van Gundy, were who was televising the game for ESPN, were at the other table. Van Gundy got a phone call, and he just started yelling into the

Prediction: they are going to swing and miss on the big names, but end up with Scott Frost.

Face it, if their tails weren’t fluffy they would be treated like rats.

Those guys at least made the playoffs. Joe Thomas hasn’t even sniffed them yet.

He’s a Point A to Point B guy. He’ll get an underachieving team to play to its potential and compete - especially on the defensive end. He’ll make the playoffs regularly. But Point B to championship? Until he understands how to better manage a season, it’s not going to happen.

I am 48 years old, married for 26 and have three kids. I have never had the thought of driving them past the house where we first lived - without them. I mean it would be easy to do, but why would they care?

“So my wife and I will leave our home soon – the only home we’ve ever known, the place where we’ve lived since the summer of 2013...”
