Give these guys a break. The weeks long rivalry between these two teams fuels all sorts of passions.

Thanks for your input Coach Tomsula.
I don’t know that, but I can certainly make an educated guess.
I used to spend a lot of time trolling usenet groups 15-20 years ago. Get a fake email address, join a group (eg, alt.support.grief.pet-loss), make up some story to make myself part of the community, occasionally get real close with users to get personal information, and then blow up the whole group by releasing…
Exactly. A good guy. Looks like a good position coach. But over his skis as head coach in the NFL. Rod Marinelli Part 2.
He probably took the blame because he was offered a “take this buy out or we will fire you for cause” type of offer.
Looks like the Mets said they backed out for medical reasons, but it looks like it was for financial ones.
My guess is that he didn’t want to give up his phone, not because of what it may have said about the footballs, but because what else may have been on there unrelated to this incident.
Why? He has no reason to give up his cell phone. The NFL already had the texts he sent to the other Patriots employees anyway.
You really think that Goodell has done anything previously that hasn’t been at the behest of the owners? This isn’t a recent development. It is likely why he has the paycheck he has - and why Paul Tagliabue has been shunned since his departure. The days where a commissioner takes on the owners is done.
Marquette has 18 or so home games a year. The Bucks have 41 at least. And the corporate money is spent on the Bucks long before it is spent on Marquette.
I can’t stand that line of thinking because public spending isn’t just about economic development. Museums...public performing arts centers...parks...all are funded for the benefit of the residents of the state, city, etc. Yes if the Bucks left many would not miss them. But that would not make the Milwaukee Public…
See that’s false. This wasn’t a choice between the two. The state budget with the school funding cuts already has passed and has been signed. These are two separate issues.
But the choice wasn’t between teachers and the arena. The state budget has passed with all the cuts to higher and K-12 education. So the choice was between Milwaukee with a new arena...or Milwaukee without one.
But they aren’t getting $250 million otherwise. The state isn’t giving it to them. That is what I can’t stand about the Deadspin line of thinking here. Milwaukee and Wisconsin have two choices. Either vote to provide half the funding for a new arena, which helps to keep that part of downtown in decent economic shape,…
Really its about if you want professional sports in your city or not. If you do, you really have no choice. Especially for a city like Milwaukee. So the alternative is don’t approve this, and they leave. And then....well...what? I like having professional sports in my city. It adds to my quality of life. At least I’m…
As I Wisconsin resident, I am happy about this. I like the Bucks and want to keep them around. Furthermore I am a Marquette alum and glad they will have a nice new place to play. I know the economic argument is bunk. I don’t care. The very little my taxes are impacted by this are worth every penny.
Clyde Drexler’s Twitter background is a copy of an SI cover touting the upcoming NBA Finals where Michael Jordan thoroughly dominated him? Okay...
Yeah, when it came out that his “cabin” is actually a huge house about two miles from a Starbucks, I started to get sick of it.
I had to unfollow him for that reason. He is actually fairly insightful at times, but you have to wade through A LOT of crap to get there.
