I’ll just leave this here
It looks surprisingly good - the first production Volvo that’s not boring my eyes to death. I see Volvo has followed Audi in making a FWD car with very RWD-esque proportions in order to be competitive in the premium segment.
You forgot the most suitable name for a human baby: “Teatro for Dayz” !!!
I have to disagree, I think it looks horribly dated. It looked different when it was released but now those huge lights and especially that unaerodynamic overly round rear (shared with other audis of the period) looks so millenial!
Naah. TDI is dead forever. What VW needs is a HUGE “DEFINATELY NOT A TDI” -badge on all it’s petrol car’s.
When you drive an old diesel, people behind you don’t think “that’s a clean looking Giugiaro-masterpiece” but “Get that smelly crap-on-wheels out of my way”.
Sometimes I wonder why I read this blog. I wouldn’t take this piece of shit even if someone paid me money.
Why?
The Porsche 918 is in my opinion the most beautiful and greatest supercar ever. Take that Ferrari F40, McLaren F1 and Lexus LFA. Lot’s of F’s in supercar names by the way?
The front end looks a bit bland and generic, the grille screams Ford to me. The front bumper shutline is a crime against humanity, what were they thinking? Overall it looks a bit dated (unlike the new mx-5 surprisingly) exluding the headlights that are maybe trying too hard.
Someone explain to me why the MB SL still exists when there is the SLK which basically looks the same and is like half the price?
You are right, the proportions are akward. Most people just think “it’s low, it’s got a long hood, it’s sporty - ergo it’s beautiful”. But just look at the 3rd image, it’s too extreme to be visually balanced.
I agree. Really weird proportions, the hood is too long, the greenhouse is too low and the side surface looks weird.
This is actually a surprisingly great Bond movie, a forgotten gem. Beautiful cinematography, one of the top3 Bond theme songs, lots of down to earth and believable action and perhaps my favorite Bond girl who has real chemistry with Bond. The period spent in the alpine base is maybe a bit lengthy but it emphasizes the…
It’s a wagon. I have never seen a shooting brake/wagon that looked good.
A thousand times yes! The specs are so tempting people don’t believe their own eyes telling them it’s fugly.
