Do I fall into the 90% chunk that an electric car would suit my driving needs most days? Yes. Am I interested in owning an electric car? Hell no.

1st/Reverse: I hate it when articles like this leave out the most important fact about cars (and trucks, etc., for that matter) are getting bigger: We’re getting bigger. With the car fast becoming the popular alternative to the dining room/dinner table, and the number of fast food restaurants springing up all over the

I put lots of miles off road in Utah and Colorado as well as much of the flat lands in the middle of the country in a Ram 1500 and agree that full size trucks work well for the vast majority of trails. Occasionally you run into a spot that is tight, but it is not a problem like trying to park in a tight parking spot

“The Nissan Titan and Armada are not off-road vehicles. Not really. The Titan’s too damn big, and the Armada has 20-inch wheels and a freaking fake vent on its front fender”

Things you should never do in a CVT vehicle:
1) Drive a CVT vehicle

Sir, I have considered your opinion and determined that it is incorrect. ;)

My thought is that maybe they knew exactly what they were doing: tapping into the free Tesla PR machine! They put this ad up and what do you know: Jalopnik and others are spreading it throughout the internet!

I’m fairly certain it’s C.

I’m a firm believer that level 4 autonomous vehicles should be illegal. The biggest challenge to autonomous vehicles is identifying very subtle differences between non-human obstacles and human obstacles on the road. Imagine a child laying in the road. Will the vehicle identify a child or a speed bump?

Could have gotten one in 2012 for $45k that same optioned truck with close to 80k miles is still $40k. Yea I am kicking myself for getting the stupid FX4.

Jeep Comanche. Preferably a 1991 short bed with a 5-spd, four-liter and 4x4.

Damn right! I do not have any kids myself but my brother and I were taught as kids to respect my parents things. We never ate in the car and we even knew not to touch the windows because it made the windows look nasty. Teaching kids to respect other peoples things in the future starts at home with teaching them to

I hold automotive journalist responsible. Their the ones who are always bitching whenever a new Nissan versa doesn’t have “soft touch” materials. How often am I suppose to be touching the dashboard or floor anyways?

I live in rural Canada. I dd a pickup because outside of work, my wife and I do a ton of shit. I’m hearing a lot of people say tax the gas. Gas going up 10%, or even 20% isn’t going to make me sell the truck. It means I’m going to have less cash to spend in other places.

Since I’m an automotive engineer, I say if you’re going to punish a company for selling too much of one thing, apply that logic to other companies as well. Such as, fast food places now have to sell so many low carb meals or else they’ll be fined. Sell too many big macs and fries, is like selling too many V8 muscle

Everyone uses the suburban as an example of bad economy, but it actually is fairly efficient, especially if you use it to it’s potential. Small block is great and you can load a massive amount into it and still tick easy over 20 mpg - even 25+ if not too hard on it. All while doing the work of 2 decent size hatchbacks

$100 million sounds like a lot of money, but a new engine alone costs that much in R&D. The money isn’t in selling the GT. It’s in selling V6 F150s with the “same” engine as the GT.

It’s crude and not particularly scenic. The best offroading for me is just technical enough to keep the Subaru crowd out, with a scenic pay-off at the end. Metberry Gulch, bring a fishing rod:
