Ford actually has a laundry list of things that people do with their trucks where it recommends a 5k mile interval. IF wasting $1000 helps make an expensive vehicle like an F150 last longer and need to be replaced less often then I’m all for it. I do 5k full synthetic on the Raptor cause it needs to last me a while

Ford recommends 5k mile changes on F-150s doing anything concidered sever use, i.e. Towing, hauling, driving in mountain conditions, dusty conditions, extended 4x4 operation, hot weather cold weather, etc. it’s very hard to own a truck but not hit one of those categories. I get full synthetic every 5k in the raptor.

My parents wanted us to all get good scholarships and focus on school and academics so they would not have to pay for 6 kids to go to college. They let us drive their cars (we had a 93 Taurus SHO a 99 Suburban 4x4 and an 04 Jetta TDI ) my dad normally drove the Taurus and my mom would give us what ever she wasn’t

Even though it sounds a road many still consider it off roadding. Most states prohibit driving “off road”. It’s part of being a good steward and treading lightly. Your not going to just run rough shot over nature that your trying to see.

Lots of Utah I lived there from 2010-2014 the top pictures are from skyline drive in the center part of the state the ones with the snow are from when I drove around the great salt lake. Done a lot of impromptu trips went to Ikea in Draper saw a sign for pony express trail took it all the way into Nevada. Utah is a

Just pull the trigger you can get a 5.4l for cheap(er) than a 6.2 or the new 3.5 and still get the off road goodies as long as it wasn’t too abused the Raptors hold up well. I will say they are worth the cost to own. I absolutely love mine and cannot wait the year and a half till I’m in a position to buy a gen 2

Jimmy one the Subaru would not be able to go as fast without rattleing to death either the driver or the car onthose roads. Look at TFLtruck’s off road comparisons. They have off road tests with a segment called “Raptor rescue” where they have used their raptor to recover vehicles like Toyota Tacomas , and 4 runner

While Raptors do require less skill to be useful to their owners off road, I think you hit the nail on the head about being able to go at highway speeds off road. For those of us who enjoy the outdoors and going to some beautiful remote areas being able to go much faster and further in a vehicle that’s less fatiguing

The 5.4l is not that bad, slower to 60 yes but it will still get up and go when you press it. The cost difrence and fuel economy savings with no loss in off road performance and increase in payload make it a smarter buy than a 6.2l with the same options. I estimate that so far I have saved $14-$15,000 by buying a 5.4

My problem with their current off roader plus performance is now both are paying for things they don’t want. I’d be happy if the raptor had a 2.7 ecoboost as it is more powerful than my adequate 5.4l in my raptor instead I will end up with a 3.5 l high output that makes 140 hp more and 150 lb ft of torque with no

The focus can tow that much because in Europe they have different towing standards and their trailers have low tongue weight which affect trailer stability at speed. Here in the US we tow at higher speeds and our trailers are set up differently. They are not going to bring over a compact car that will compete with

I’d like to meet those people I have a 2010 with 125,000 on it. I was unemployed for a whole year of ownership (6 months then 4 months) and lived 1 mile from work up until last 2 months. Now I commute 80 miles a day so it look like I’ll be going to 30-40,000 miles a year based off work and my historic driving habits.

Toyota gets it with the Tacoma the manual is only available on crew cab short bed 4x4 TRD sport, TRD off road, And TRD Pro

On free trade I think it’s a little more complicated. Free trade deals with us, Germany , UK Canada , Japan , Korea and places with similar wages , work safety and environmental laws are good. They allow free flow of goods and services. Where we run into trouble is when it’s between partners where their is a

Or just tax the pickups that GM FCA and Tacomas Toyota makes down there.

I work in manufacturing as a manager and let me tell you it’s hard to balnace taking care of your works complying with new EPA osha FDA regulations keeping the plants up to date while your competitors under cut you do to cheap labor.

That always struck me as odd that the regulars never got them , though some owners did by and instal raptor badges.

My dad has a 93 SHO with that badge. I think ford had them left over in the parts bin.

And you wonder why we don’t want to put trump signs in our yards or stickers on our cars, you all will vandalize them. BTW why are you all acting this way on a car site what about the poor cars. #MAGA

Just pointing out the Ford Expedition has IRS for years now and low range 4x4 for longer.
