I guess like a lot of these discussions, how many people in the general moviegoing public are even aware of his politics?  And how many among them feel negatively enough about it that they can’t watch a film he’s in?  I think the latter figure is probably pretty small.

Voight’s been a pretty reactionary presence since at least the Tea Party days (An American Carol, anyone?). That said, he does seem to be a reliable working actor, and I try to save my shunning more for deeds than words.

The thing for me is, I didn’t even know about Jon Voight’s politics until this article. I looked at his twitter, and is it bad for me to say at least Voight seems more akin to a Trump-voting relative? He seems more like a brainwashed member of the cult than an out-and-out monster.
