Hey!!!! This is MY car! I saw this Jalopnik article and my jaw dropped, haha.

The Corbeau seats are a great upgrade, for sure.
I know we’re supposed to automatically dismiss someone else’s build but honestly...I don’t hate it. I mean, I hate the replacement steering wheel. But the seats look right for the car. The engine bay is clean and the mods overall seem like the right choices. The stereo is still factory (remarkable!) and there’s no…
Yeah, I’m not a fan of this generation Camaro or even the slightly better looking Firebird, they all just look like something between a squashed cockroach and a dead catfish. That being said, if I was looking for one, this would be a really good option.
Combined with the track-ready brake setup, I suspect this guy used it or intended to use it as a track car. With the racing-type seats, if they are fixed in place, being able to remove the steering wheel is a boon to ingress and egress.
Good heavens that is in good condition. I do not want one, but if I did I expect that I’d want this one. It looks new. Someone will buy this.
I don’t want to take away anyone’s life. I just don’t want to get hit by cars when I’m riding my bike because I like the exercise.
In or about 1994 I had the chance to buy one (read: I saw it for sale and wanted it real bad). I think the price was about $4,000. To my teenage eye it looked good. My dad didn’t even bother to drive past it it take a look with me, he just laughed, and laughed, and then laughed some more.
5th Gear: I’m with them on this one. I hate the scooters with a passion.
Re: Pony Express
The weave blowing out was what happened on my 944. It looked like a turtle head when we took the back half of the exhaust off. Revved it sans muffler and it pooped right out.
...just make sure they’re on auto-play and you cannot close the browser until you’re finished watching! 😁
I voted NP, so we know what your vote was.
Oh, there are people that want these. The Metro has a very dedicated, fanatical following. I’ve known a couple of people that hoarded these for parts availability, both had very long commutes and it’s a car that makes a lot of sense for that. Cheap to run, cheap to insure, very reliable with not much to go wrong.
Nice price if you want a quirky little runabout to fill out your fleet of cars. It will be the cheapest one of the bunch by far, which means more money to spend on your more problematic enthusiast vehicles.
Come on, people! That is clean as a whistle and cute as a bug’s ear. So what if it’s a third of the horsepower to which I have become accustomed (and far less than most of you would ever tolerate). But that fuel economy! That sweet frsh Spring-like color!
Agree. I think the phrase has changed to simply reflect a widened track, regardless how the track is covered up.
Transmission from Civic R. Check.
Can we PLEASE stop calling fender flares wide bodies?! The bodies are the same, they just have bushwackers on them 🤣 i blame dodge for starting this bullplop.
