Autopilot? I feel lazy guilty just using rev-matching in my Mustang, even though it does a better job than me. I’ll be damned if I’ll let a car do my driving for me.

I have a 1956 Austin-Healey 100 (and a ‘67 3000). I taught my son to drive in the 3000, constantly reminding him he has nothing to save his ass if he--or the ‘other guy’--screws up. He’s serving on a Navy warship in the Taiwan Strait, hopefully some of the lessons hit home.

Trump is a cult; likely the largest in US history. Like all cults, none of his disciples realize they’re in a cult. See Manson, Charlie and Jones, Jim etc.

Verbing is a thing (unfortunately).

The steel companies need to learn to game the IRS like POTUS has.

‘viscous’ ???

Repurposing ‘Obama Derangement Syndrome’ isn’t half as clever as you think it is.

Yep. The CHP office next to my mom’s ranch has at least one H-D rider.

re: “New cars have to meet California emissions and used cars have to have passed a smog test within the past 60 days prior to sale.”

I’m a third-generation Californian and a ‘reasonable’ fiscally conservative/socially liberal person—fifty years ago I’d be called a ‘Rockefeller Republican,’ but they don’t exist anymore—and I own 6 ICE vehicles (3 are ‘classics’). This is pure grandstanding on Newsom’s part—who I otherwise approve of—and will be

“It’s not hard to envision Tesla maintaining a private army in the upcoming Water Wars, which might be its next venue for profitability.”

The 767 has two engines. ETOPS engines, to be sure, but only two.

“I honestly can’t wait for a long, depressing, monotonous drive through Kansas.”

“... brake fluid which they say every 2 years...”

For many cars, diff oil is considered ‘lifetime of the vehicle,’ because modern synthetics and the oil doesn’t get contaminated by blowby gasses. Same would be true, methinks, for an EV’s gearbox.

You just might have a point:

Hang in there. My BFF has chronic back pain, had several surgeries and ablation to no avail, and was repeatedly prescribed opiates, which he eventually refused to take. He bagged them up and took them to the local PD for proper disposal (we hope). There were way too many to count, so he weighed a few, got an average

I live in California. Nobody gets stopped for making a ‘California Stop.’
