He has 3 ‘young kids;’ I’ll wager he’ll want to take them along for some hotdogging with dad.  GT350 it is.

re: “The big orange is going to get reelected because dummies think the economy is doing well and before the next big recession hits.”

“In related news, bats are freaking amazing. They carry so much stuff, but almost never get sick.”

I engine-braked my ‘08 Bullitt Mustang with a Tremec 3560(?) for 135K miles with no issues, and I engine-brake my ‘19 Bullitt with an MT-82 with no issues over ~10K miles. I’m careful with them--the ‘19 has auto rev matching which is less of a challenge but still fun--but never do the ‘downshift from fifth at sixty

When I was 31 I bought an Austin-Healey 3000. My father was a former auto shop teacher and factory rep for Ford and didn’t care for ‘foreign’ cars, so I was reluctant to tell him about it and, not uncommonly for young(er) men and their fathers, we weren’t really getting along at the time. When I finally confessed to

What is the second derivative of ‘terrible?’

Human population growth is not sustainable.  Everything else is secondary.

Wow. I must be old; I remember when Jags were a performance car (see: Type D).

Ford fan here (I drove my dad’s Model T to high school and JC, for chrissakes). If the Mach-E is a hit—yeah, I know, I have a ‘65 Mustang and a ‘19 Bullitt--Ford has a chance; if not, forget it.

“... manipulating its economy to its own benefit”

All the truckers I’ve encountered in the last few years have been as professional and courteous as possible, which I really appreciate when driving a ‘50s-era 2-seat British sports car.

AFAIK, TSLA is the only car company that can intentionally brick a car after a sale.

Tesla only shows a nominal ‘profit’ because of carbon tax credits bought from them by other auto makers. Once the other makers have sufficient sales of EVs this small ‘profit’ will diminish or even go away entirely.  They have to grub money any way they can.

I’ll bet the study was commissioned by a Mustang owner who wants to get off the hook.

Wait for the S650 Bullitt; it’ll have the ‘basic mods’ and a mild tune.

Word on the forums is it will be a hybrid, or at least an option.

re: “... I really don’t want to be a “Mustang Guy.”

Some bemoan the ‘droopy face’ front end, though pretty much all makers have similar (must be a pedestrian ‘safety’ thing). I’m not crazy about it on my ‘19 Bullitt, but the rest of the car is superb.

It’s got a face only a snow blower could love.
