This was the ‘way things were done’ back in the ‘50s and ‘60s. Then, we had a (largely successful) anti-littering campaign (remember “Don’t be a Litterbug?”). Unfortunately, the recent wave of immigrants* weren’t around for that campaign.

Silly question. Many (most?) Americans go to great lengths to avoid any sort of physical exertion whatsoever; witness the fat person who drives around in a parking lot for 20 minutes to get a spot 50 feet closer to the door of of the local greasy spoon.

Yup. My last two new cars have been Bullitt Mustangs, in Dark Highland Green, of course (very slightly metallic--you have to look close--like most new cars). Green is my favorite color. Why? Who knows; why does anybody have a ‘favorite color.’
