I am as excited as any progressive to see her go to Congress, but I’m beginning to get annoyed at the tabloid-like coverage of her. Her every move is being tracked and analyzed, something that Fox News has been the biggest culprit of but here we see Politico doing it too, and by extension Splinter got sucked into it

There are plenty of farms in New York and California and whatever we get from the flyovers we pay for at the cash register and with the Blue State funded welfare of tax subsidies.

Who has been stepping on their dick for years?

Ocasio-Cortez allegedly got into it over climate change strategy with, you guessed it, New Jersey Democrat Rep. Frank Pallone

While I personally think that Avenatti is garbage, his accusation of Jacob Wohl didn’t come out of nowhere. The Twitter for Wohl’s fake intelligence agency took credit for Avenatti’s arrest on Thursday, while Wohl simultaneously tweeted about about it all day from his personal account.

On top of this giveaway, New York pays more to the federal government than it gets back. The deadbeat red states are living off of our tax dollars and we are going to get hammered with Trump’s middle class tax hikes.

I disagree with your assessment of California. Their are Democrats and then their are Justice Democrats and they are FAR to the left of the centrist Democrats. This is still a 2 party race here in CA, it just doesn’t really involve the GOP. Just look at the senate race, Feinstein was pushed a little by De Leon (who is

California might be all democrat, but it isn’t a one-party state.

The trends that are the stalking horses for the gun industry, and by extension, the NRA:

Based on the rhetoric in my town over the last decade, not crazy at all. Everybody was all “gotta get mah guns before Obummer takes them away”

This is great short term, but unhealthy in the long run (I say as someone who lives in a province where the previous government was in power for about 44 years). Unfortunately conservatism has gotten so toxic that in the US there are no viable alternatives to the Democrats. There really needs to be a viable

“An armed assailant entered NRA headquarters today and opened fire. Fortunately no one was hit by these shots. Unfortunately 114 people in the building were killed when everyone pulled out their guns and aimlessly returned fire. The gunman was able to escape in all the confusion and remains at large.”

It’s just like Goldeneye, where all the bad guys drop ammo when they die.

Even in a growing economy, stupid political decisions can make a state budget bleed red ink. Take in more money than you spend is a pretty simple concept, but the states that totally buy into the supply side fantasy somehow ignore it. There are red states that can manage their money, but they aren’t Koch darlings.

Fully agree. Amazing how Republicans wear the mantle of being the party for business, but states where they are the majority have virtually no economy, and usually a pretty bad drug problem. (i.e. New Hampshire, West Virginia, Ohio.) If they were always in charge, the nation’s economy would resemble Mississippi.

Thank you for saying it.

Jiminy crickets! I didn’t know the actual numbers...

Unless you also consider that talent for some of those industries, also prefers to live in places with more liberal ideologies and openness, taxes be damned.

The Republicans are now a third party in California.... and I am LOVING this! It’s like when your society first starts to get on top of eradicating smallpox, you’ve finally gotten it on the run, and herd immunity is sky-high.

And why is California home to so many multi-billion dollar industries?
