Agreed with the Michael Shannon comment. I mean, they were able to cast the premier crazy eyes actor in Hollywood and yet there were maybe 2 or 3 moments when they put the crazy eyes to good use. I was constantly waiting for Shannon to cut loose and was disappointed when he never did.

I thought there was quite a lot to like from that trailer. At the very least I feel vindicated in my opinion that Ben Affleck and Jesse Eisenberg were well cast as Batman and Luthor.

Fun fact, I saw Ridley Scott's Hannibal before I saw Silence of the Lambs. More fun fact, I saw Ridley Scott's Hannibal when I was 9 years old and the Ray Liotta brain scene fucked me up possibly forever.

The really icky ending aside, I think I might be the only one in the world who likes the Hannibal book. As well as the Hannibal movie! I like them both. I love how batshit insane they are.

That's a real shame because in terms of tone and aesthetic that trailer is PERFECT. But kudos to whoever made it, because it is incredibly well done.

I can't imagine how hard those scenes must be for Fishburne and Torres. That said, knowing that they're married in real life made it so much more emotional for me.

Mason's "Ha ha! Good as new!", post surgery was delightful. Joe Anderson brings a different energy to the character than Michael Pitt (I'm finding Anderson to be more in line with Gary Oldman's interpretation) and I'm digging it.
