No, he seems to generally care about Garrett, and he has a tough time killing people he loves. Tho clearly he'll do it, but not directly.

I think they were more concerned with being in that hallway with a Hydra murderer. Was really nowhere else to go, and they probably, or at least Fitz, thought they'd talk some sense into Ward if given time.

Well it seems well planned, the first half of the season setting up prop and storylines for the second half to use and explore. Just the setting up wasn't as ell executed, but that's not atypical of TV shows.

Kind of what was shown with the dog, he can kill what he loves, but only from afar.

I think she was fairly successful, at least as far as her father and Oberyn were concerned. Her line with the latter "everywhere they hurt little girls" seemed to get a genuine reaction, and Tywin seemed contemplative of her newfound more subdued cunning.

I imagine a lack of experience on the part of the writer's and director's in filming that sort of thing. Few of the fight's in the show focus on actual strategy, just guys swinging swords.

Maybe if he hadn't failed the wench spot check.
