Bon Iver is an art installation of slowly becoming more and more pretentious and seeing how long it takes the world to catch on. It’s like Father John Misty except over more than thirty seconds.

But it’s a very enjoyable album.
There are two Levys on the show and they’re both excellent.
I am an Angels fan and always have been, and for most of Mike Trout’s career I have listened to the chorus of boos as the Angels have only made the playoffs once in his time with the team, in no small part due to ownership interference followed by a dysfunctional front office. I have generally rolled my eyes at such…
Disingenuous. That’s the word. Never liked him and it was always undefinable beyond “not ever funny.” I’m not happy to be “right” or feel justified. It always sucks when another person is outed as an asshole. I’m glad Dykstra is healing and as an added bonus we can all forget Hardwick was ever anything but a…
And Neko Caaaaaase
I spent an embarrassingly long time thinking this was about Doom until I was like, “Wait a minute, his least favorite level is ‘Storming Koopa Bros. Fortess?’ Why would Doom- oh. Oh God.”
Release dates are the new E3, where I salivate over a great reception to a game I will play in 1-2 years. That God of War sure looks interesting!

Well I’m sorry. And you’re welcome.
Because Dean DeBlois is a great director.
That movie is so much EMOTIONS.
As far as third acts go it’s certainly better than many, many others.
But do they REBEL???
The Good Dinosaur felt like cheap manipulation both with the inevitable early event and the ending, and it felt even more cynically designed to hit both parents and their children with targeted emotional beats.
The only thing I didn’t like about that finale was using a song most of us clearly remember from “Friends.” I don’t want to think about another show while watching this one.
I liked her last album just fine with the exception of “Honolulu”, which felt like a person without children chastising a parent for bad behavior, true, but also being incredibly judgmental. If you don’t have kids you don’t know how well they can drive you crazy, and dedicating a whole song to possibly that mother’s…
I also think of Middle Cyclone as a great entry point. It boils her country, folk, and pop sounds into one cohesive form and has several high points of each style. But yeah. They’re all good.
