Oh, I’ve played many a game of Blitzball. I win in Luca. I win after Luca. I WIN ALL THE GAMES. All I have to do is cheat, cheat by the bucket, thanks to Brother.

I feel like Nintendo is doing a really good job threading the needle on new vs. redone content. EVERYONE should be able to play Captain Toad, and I look forward to checking it out all over again when it’s old and heavily discounted. But it’s super great and everyone should play it.

Those giant boss fights give me stress just watching the trailer. Nope nope nope.

I decided to take a stab at the now Morgan banner in FEH, and while I didn’t get any of the newbies, I did get Micaiah, a very interesting unit I’ll have to get a feel for. It looks like you can turn her into a wounded damage cannon of merciless wrath or an incredible enemy phase mage tank, and I don’t know which

I can set up a tourney but I will have family in from out of town so I won’t be there. In addition, we had almost zero turnout last month.

It’s an old joke, but it checks out.

FEH is at its best when you play 20-30 minutes at a time. Too much and it’s just no fun. I hardly ever do Arena Assault because it feels like a slog and have many an unclaimed orb as a result of Chain Challenges and other time sinks.

Now if only they’d ramp up PS Vita support for PS Now.

I, too, have been engaging in Part-Time UFO shenanigans, making it the first game released in 2018 (at least stateside) that I’ve played. It’s cute, it’s light, it’s a solid little mobile title. On that note I also finally deleted Animal Crossing Pocket Camp because it never really engaged in what makes AC games work.

Interesting...

I wanted to jump on board with DropMix, but even at a discount the way the cards are sold in packs reeks of blind bag collectible BS. So for now I’m fine just seeing what clever people put together online.

It’s three seasons of escalating brilliance! And there’s a gas leak! And two seasons of more muted pleasures with occasional flashes of genius.

It’s kind of incredible what kind of cast Community had. Of the “Greendale Seven”, Joel McHale was probably the worst, and he’s not bad at all. But Glover was brilliant on that show, and nothing about his performance on it, or his work before or after, has given off any vibe except that the man works hard.

What were we supposed to believe? That Captain Toad was wearing a headlamp around some sort of hat he NEVER removes?

You know, that was better than I expected. I just hope there’s lots and lots of Lando. And I wouldn’t be opposed to another movie with more... Lando.

You and I think alike, Evan. I also got into this gen (not counting the Switch) just this year and ALSO made No Man’s Sky and Shadow of Mordor priorities, though I haven’t done more than update the former. Also Horizon Zero Dawn, Pyre, and Persona 5. There is SO MUCH to catch up on.

Invincible Tanooki is a great way to lend the player a hand if they want it. It’s there if you need it. It can be ignored if you don’t.

First things first: Mario Kart 8 Deluxe on the 8th returns next Thursday night! We’re trying a concentrated single hour, so show up on time (8PM Central) and join us for two wheel-only hijinx!

The cat sidekick part is easily the most interesting part of the entire game to me.

Shaka, when the walls fell.
