But you're not writing it off one truck, you're writing it off several. And it's not your company, you're leasing them off a company. You ever pass a truck and see "Leased to/by "? The company is basically getting you to foot the bill for the truck payment, repairs and fuel and in exchange gives you like $1.20 /mile.

Ask away! Ill answer just about any curiousity but I won't name names...

It can't be aggressive looking. That's not the Miata's schtick.

  1. Lease 5 or 6 trucks from the company. Every company will do this, it's free money for them and almost always a total rip off for the driver.

Whatever anything costs in your car, multiply by 10 at least for a truck. Overweight fines can be up to $10/lb (so the story goes, I've never been caught so I wouldn't know). Imagine being 500 lbs over on an axle... imagine and recoil in horror.

There's so many ways I could scrape off the top in trucking without getting caught. Lumpers, the entire paperwork chain is fucked, with bogus repairs I could make a killing, there a few huge shippers who for some reason make it stupid easy to steal trailers. At one point a certain T/A in a certain city had 50 trailers

I will maintain forever that the best place for this is on the site of the old steel mills in Northwest Indiana. Lots of rail (Tesla trucks damn near everything, which I don't mind but it's wasteful), big city right across the state line with direct rail access and reviving NW Indiana would be a huge symbolic victory

If the airbags pop the car is totalled. Doesn't matter how, that boat full of Mazda's that hit rough seas had a ton of cars get crushed that easily could have been fixed. Simply because air bags.

Air bags. They're just a way to write off cars that could easily be fixed up, thus perpetuating a wasteful cycle of boring new econoboxes being built while the old econoboxes were just fine. It's like Brave New World. Never mind that some people don't want a small grenade going off in their face in an accident.

I remember that vain attempt to get families to show up. They cleaned the place up, started enforcing the rules, it was very un-Sox for a few seasons there. Then they just slashed ticket prices and essentially opened the 500's as a smoking section (what you are smoking is of no concern, either) and now it's mostly

Loosely quoting George Carlin the best of my recollection:

I don't want to get ahead of myself before all the facts are in, but was this guy out of his mind?

The roll cage probably isn't made to handle being crushed by a 40 ton truck.

We have a bumper on the back, which is usually weakened from slamming into docks all the time. The side skirts are fiberglass and actually bend and give way pretty easily to prevent them from being torn off on speed bumps or railroad tracks.

"Under 10,000 lbs"

BOOOORRRRINNNGGGG

Nice that a murderer is now a "smarter voice" around the NFL.

Kinda what you're saying. I'm a long haul truck driver, away from home for months at a time. This phone is my lifeline. It's got everything I use to entertain myself, all the people I call (I can't really text, I'll lose my job if caught... so at least I have that grounding me a little) and a ton of stuff I need for

Uh if your government had a hard-on for killing people the way ours does you'd be much less willing to surrender a monopoly on the use of force to them.

A new low for a site specializing in dick pics. Impressive.
