A couple of years ago, the NYT interviewed some moms about their Mother’s Day experiences. One woman said her family gave her the day off. (No, really.) At the end of the day, she went into the garage to find all the dirty laundry her family said they were going to “take care” of that day.

In reality, different women are turned on by different things. I’m quite sure the White House chef knows what the hell goes into jambalaya. I suspect this was a mistake made by Melania and her social secretary, who decided to jazz up the menu at the last minute without consulting the kitchen. I can imagine the conversation going like this:

I guess this is what happens when the head chef of the White House is so bewildered with the particularly banal diet of the Poor Resident, that he or she settles for throwing a box of Zatarain’s Jambalaya mix on the stove with some water, lack of well-done meat be damned.
