Actually ESPR has traditionally been an all tarmac rally, but, new for this year, they switched to all gravel roads at a privately owned campground. This is why a) the roads weren't maintained through winter, and b) the event can't run until so late in the year, after camping season.

I think Hyundai/Kia and Samsung are great examples of how the Koreans f*cked over the Japaneese and leapfrogged them in so many areas. I wonder if the Chinesee will do the same to the Koreans in 10 years time.
