The 1983 sit-down Star Wars vector graphic arcade game is everything to me. Now that we have a house, I have alerted my wife to the fact that I will be buying it at some point in the future.

Being very serious here:

The British GT race at Oulton Park in 2002...didn't go well.

2008 Daytona Supercross! Motocross racers NEVER quit because of weather. This is just one of the many mud races the sport sees. The grips get slippery and impossible to hang on to, the bike gains lots and lots of weight and you quickly run out of tear offs and cant see anything! The mud (and stones and everything

Sometimes you need a little long tail in your life.

United uses Gogo on only their p.s. service between JFK and LAX/SFO. The United inflight wi-fi page is up to date and reflects the current installation status across the fleet.

Absolutely this. When a family of 4 pours out of a minivan after 8 hours to spend a few days at Grandma's, they look tired but calm and ready for a beer. Luggage comes out the back in an orderly fashion.

There's no need to compromise here at all, just get a '90-'99 Previa!

Sliding doors? Check.

Captain's Chairs? Check.

Y don't NEED 4/All wheel drive, but you can have it!

Also available in RWD!

You can keep it forever! #Toyota

You may not be cool anymore, but you can be with a Previa!

Did I mention

If you have 2 or less children and require the sliding doors that a van can offer the only real option is the Mazda5.

I would rock a minivan or station wagon (as I currently do) over an SUV or CUV any day. Practicality is what I like to project to the world, CUV and (most) SUV's are compromises to the point where they do nothing 'great' and lot's 'acceptable'. Suck it up and use the right tool for the job.

Minivans are AWESOME, and not just for families. WAY more useful than a crossover. Generally more usable space, too. And a Pilot/Highlander isn't going to be any better "off-road", either.

How about a RAM ProMaster luxury conversion van? Tows 5,100lbs, seats 7-9 passengers, 32" HDTV, 20+ MPG, front wheel drive, and it costs less than a Yukon Denali.

> SUVs and crossovers are for people that go on "adventures" and fill their car up with "antiques."

Also, they're cheaper. If you like goodies such as leather seats, DVD players, and navigation systems, a minivan will often cost $10,000 or more less than a comparably equipped midsize SUV depending on the brand. And if you don't care about any of that and just want a cheap people mover, you can get into a base model

Hell, my kids are grown and I still drive Chrysler minivans when needed. Right tool for the job, when the job involves comfortably hauling a lot of people and stuff. I could give a rat's ass what someone thinks when they see me in the van. I've got 99 problems, and "minivan shame" ain't one...

Great post! I am actually looking forward to a minivan in my future. All that hauling space is amazing, it's essentially a tall wagon! Though I would prefer a AWD minivan.....

Full agreement here from someone who appreciates honest cars and has three kids. I'm rocking a plush Chrysler T&C on a cheap lease until my youngest has graduated from baby seats.
