They kicked out ultrasabers, made people wait in 3 hour lines in 100+ degree heat (which they also did last year without any security concerns), and generally don’t give a shit about the attendees. As all shields were intended to do forget what game it was but I remember I always liked to start off with a shield bash to stun then go for the sword swipes

Weapons Check just means the staff looks over the prop and makes sure it’s not an actual weapon. Depending on the thickness and weight of the shield, it could be banned, but I doubt it was that heavy/thick. If it passes, they just put some little tag on it to show that they checked it out.

A good reason, I just find it awesome it has a Weapons Check. It was my first Con, my friend and I found it funny.

I was at Anime North yesterday and I was in line with this amazing Captain America Cosplayer. They informed him because he had a real metal shield he may be required to check it at the “Weapons Check”. It was sad the whole outfit just worked, I did get a picture with the shield at least.

I like Lucio and he’s one of my most-played heroes, but yeah, his athlete/musician thing kind of bums me out. It wouldn’t be so bad if there was another black guy in the game.

That said, I’m from Louisiana and this skin makes me think of New Orleans steampunk, and I just got it in a loot box...so I’ve made my peace…

Huh. I really dig the skin and the jazz that replaces the dance music for his abilities has definitely not gotten old for me. But I’m into jazz anyway so, eh.

That’s mostly just because of the color and that it looks like machinery. Once you realize it’s actually horns and instruments on him, it’s all jazz.

I like it quite a bit...it’s fun, playful, charming, and stylish...so it perfectly captures Lucio’s personality.

To each their own, I certainly won’t begrudge anyone their opinion...it just seems a bit like reaching when you’re criticizing the game with possibly the most diverse cast in gaming history for being ever…

I think his outfit is swanky af and if I played Lucio regularly I would purchase it.
