At one point there were well meaning people involved with WikiLeaks, most or all of whom left in disgust over the way Assange ran things. Assange has made very clear where his priorities lie, given that he’s refused to redact leaks that harm average people, claiming a need for transparency, but when Syrian hackers…

Here’s the thing though - you don’t have to completely take the word of the Cia etc. Lots of non-partisan professional security firms have already presented evidence that it was the Russians. The rest is not exactly a huge leap of faith.
